Interior and Exterior Barrel Cleaning

Process high volumes of barrels/drums on a continuous basis.

Drums, or barrels, are continuously blast cleaned as they are transported through the shot blast system on a series of rollers. As the drums pass through the blast chamber, direct drive blast wheels propel abrasive at all interior and exterior surfaces and are blasted to the required production specifications in one pass.

Drums with paint, labels or other surface debris are loaded into the shot blast equipment on one end and are fully cleaned, inside and out, in one pass and released to the unload station on the other end of the system ready for new paint or subsequent processing.

The blast wheels are sized and arranged to expose all facets of the drums to the blast. Abrasive is contained in the blast chamber by the walls, roof and hopper of the blast machine, all of which are manufactured of heavy, abrasive resistant steel plate.

Replaceable cast alloy and manganese wear plates, located in line with the blast wheels, protect the shotblast equipment’s interior surfaces from abrasion. Multiple sets of flexible vestibule seals enclose the entrance and exit ends of the machine as the drums pass through.
